Dr Mazhar A Rashidi has over 15 years of rich expertise in conceptualising, executing and managing socio-economic development projects and programmes.

His areas of specialisation include participatory training methodology, assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building and training, project execution, community mobilisation, supervision and guidance, participatory planning, project monitoring and evaluation, capacity building and training. He has been actively involved in training of core and field staff, conscientisation of panchayat representatives, orientation of core group of frontline functionaries of line departments, training of trainers for micro planning and development of a number of panchayat based microplans.

Dr Rashidi is associated as resource person on participatory methodologies with UNICEF, Rajasthan, PATH, Lucknow, Catholic Relief Services – CP, GNK Plan India, Better Education through Innovations (BETI) Foundation, Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) Lucknow, Gorakhpur Environment Action Group (GEAG), Resource Centre for Participatory Learning and Action (RCPLA) Gorakhpur, Manav Sewa Sansthan Gorakhpur, Gorakhpur Kshetriya Gramin Bank and People’s Action for National Integration (PANI) Faizabad.

He is an excellent trainer with specialisation in the following areas:
